DOUGLAS ALLEN is a renowned artist and illustrator whose work has appeared in more than 75 magazines and 40 books, including "The Big Game Animals of North America" and "Complete Book of Hunting." His easel paintings have graced the walls of many galleries and museums across North America, including the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

"In Nature's Realm, The Art of Douglas Allen," traverses Allen’s eight-decade-long career as both an illustrator and easel artist. Combining stunning landscapes and magnificent animals, this sumptuous volume features more than 180 reproductions of Allen’s original paintings and drawings—many reproduced here for the first time—including 130 in full color. It also includes a comprehensive bibliography of books and periodicals featuring Allen’s work, and a full chapter dedicated to Allen’s other great passion—collecting the works of N.C. Wyeth and others. It brings to life Allen’s favorite subject matter, devoting an entire chapter to the big and small game animals of North America, the American bison and Africa, which Allen visited on three separate occasions. Every page reflects Allen’s affection for his subject matter, and a life very well-lived.
